Nvidia Driver Manager
GPU is essential for playing most of today’s games. And to keep GPU running well, it needs to be maintained in terms of drivers. The only problem is that many GPU drivers update long before the OS they run is ready to handle the new driver version. GPU manufacturers also release beta versions of drivers that are not infrequently compatible with desktop OS.
When Manjaro Settings Manager is open, follow the step-by-step instructions outlined below to learn how to install your Nvidia drivers on Manjaro. Step 1: In Manjaro Settings Manager, locate the “Hardware” section, and click on the app icon that says “Hardware Configuration,” and click on it with the mouse.

- All drivers presented in the table without problemssupport the most popular graphics cards from AMD used for mining: RX 480, RX 570 and RX 580. All AMD drivers from version 17.10.2 support work with 12 video cards. For drivers from Nvidia, the information is presented in the following table.
- Before installing and configuring NVIDIA vGPU Manager and the Guest Driver, ensure that a VM running a supported Windows guest OS is configured in your chosen hypervisor. The factory settings of some supported GPU boards are incompatible with NVIDIA vGPU software.
How to fix BSoD while installing NVIDIA drivers
1. Run driver update from Device Manager
If you have manually downloaded a driver and are trying to install it, skip the manual update and use Device Manager instead.
- Open Device manager.
- Expand Display Adapter.
- Right-click on the GPU and select Update drivers.
- Search online for updates and install the available ones.
- Restart the system.
Note: If Device Manager cannot find a driver update, and an update is available on the NVIDIA website, do not install it. Your system is not ready for the update and a strong installation may deactivate the system.
2. Restore driver update

- go to Update & Security.
- Select the Windows Update Tab.
- Click Check for updates.
- Download and install available updates.
Conclusion
NVIDIA drivers are usually stable however, they can cause problems at times. Check online forums to see if a particular update is causing problems for other users. If so, reinstall the driver and wait for a piece from NVIDIA. Do not attempt to force a new driver installation for an old NVIDIA GPU. Newer drivers usually do not run well with old chips. Allow Windows 10 to handle driver updates for the GPU instead and keep the system stable.
